The rotiwala has multiple uses and can be taken to the table as is - keeping Indian bread (rotis) warm, keeps savouries/scones etc warm, a small casserole fits nicely for home or taking out (dinner, picnics etc) and I make yoghurt in it as it retains the temperature perfectly for the milk to set.  I'm sure there would be other uses too.
